Nelson is the best place to find good hotels in New Zealand, according to an analysis of 160,000 reviews by visitors using travel website Wotif.
The city’s accommodation topped a list of New Zealand centres with a review score of 4.32 out of 5.
Art Deco city Napier was second, with a score of 4.31.
The data showed New Zealand hospitality compared well against Australia with a national average score of 4.16 compared to 4.07 across the Tasman.
